For weddings and parties, I concentrate on getting as many candid photos as possible in addition to the usual posed pictures, and I try to get a great photo of every guest - plus, I sneak with a zoom lens to get a lot of closeups.  I think candid & journalistic style pictures make the best memories!  Plus an absolutely fabulous picture of just the bride and groom together is essential (please schedule a solid 30 minutes for photos of the bride and groom together).

Generally, I'll arrive half an hour before the ceremony, say hello to the bride, shoot photos of the groom and the men in the wedding party, then go back to the bride and get photos of her slipping into her dress and putting on the final touches.  For a 3-hour wedding, I'll take around 500-1000 photos. 

For parties, anniversaries and other events, I take as many photos as possible - trying to get fun shots of everyone in attendance, plus group shots, couples shots, portraits, photos of the room, flowers and party decorations, etc.  I will be pleased to photograph your private event in Orange County, San Diego, Los Angeles or Riverside County.  I'll take wonderful photos, upload them to an on-line account for you to view and order prints or albums if you choose (or I can create your Wedding Album), plus mail you a disk with all the edited .jpg photos for you to keep. 

For you camera buffs, I shoot with a Canon EOS 40D body, a Canon 24-105 lens and a 580EXii dedicated shoe mount flash.  Plus, for backup, I use two Canon EOS Rebel XT cameras with a 420EX dedicated shoe mount flash with an assortment of lenses.  Need two photographers?  Sometimes I shoot with my daughter, Monica.  We split up and cover different places at the same time (one of us goes to where the bride is getting ready, the other will shoot the groomsmen, we can cover the ceremony from two different angles, and one of us will do formal posed photos while the other is getting candid snaps of the guests).  See her work at www.Monnnnica.com.
